ALF residents needing hospitalization often have the same risks of infection and harm as nursing home residents. Using a combination of face to face home visits and virtual telemedicine visits, residents can be followed by their own specialist nurse practitioner and doctor using advanced physiologic monitoring that is equivalent or superior to what they would get in the hospital without the risk of infections.
